This afternoon I stopped by the Wood County Heritage Days, which is an event put on every year by the Wood County Historical Center & Museum. It's free admission and always good for a stroll, particularly in beautiful weather like today, and they have a very nice herb garden that I enjoy visiting.

I could've taken the pups as well but River has a twisted paw and I needed to go to the grocery store afterward. Even if I took just Jack, I didn't think he would appreciate being par broiled in the car, which the sunlight could heat up significantly warmer than the actual air temperature outside. (By which I mean, this can kill your pets, so please don't leave them in the car this time of year for any amount of time! </psa>)

Now, on to the photos! *g*

You can find the full album at Blue Melon, but I think I hit the highlights. It was a gorgeous day and a very enjoyable few hours in which I walked around on my own a bit, then my husband joined me, and, finally, we ran into some friends. I left to head to grocery store just minutes before it started to sprinkle so I really couldn't have planned it any better!

Now I'm just hanging out with the pups and recovering from yesterday while pointedly leaving the garden to its own devices. I'll have a bit of a post to catch up with what's going on out there up later today.

I'm not even going to attempt to sum up the last two weeks of gardening. Suffice to say, there's been a lot of it, predominantly in the area of weed removal. Mostly things are growing (including the carrots, which I replanted after deciding the first crop was a failure). So here's a pic spam of where things stand!

Er... 21 pictures. But! Resized! Which makes it all better. )

So there ya' go. After nine hours straight in the garden yesterday, I've spent most of today recovering.
