Food - Namely Pesticides Thereon
May. 2nd, 2010 08:15 pmThis is a pretty nifty visual: it's called the Dirty Dozen Cheat Sheet. It reflects a dozen fruits and vegetables that have the most pesticides remaining on/in them after they've made it to the store and been washed or peeled - so, in other words, how you would actually consume them. These are the ones you want to buy organic versions of if at all possible. It also lists the 'Clean Fifteen', or the fifteen least contaminated fruits and vegetables under the same conditions.
For the sake of convenience, I'll list both here, but the link above has a nice .jpg image you can print out, fold in half, and laminate for easily carrying with you.
