Blue Skies and Beagles (Just Look Up)

It was sunny out this afternoon and not terribly cold (which has everything to do with it being the tail end of winter and nothing to do with actual temperature). I wanted to take pictures. There's nothing out there, I thought, what could I take pictures OF? But I put on play clothes, stuffed my pant legs in my muck boots, grabbed my camera, and headed outside.

I found soppy wet ground. You can imagine what the shoes and paws coming in the door look like.

There was plenty of standing water.

And the garden... let's not even talk about the garden.

I did find some moss!

Then I found these characters.

We temporarily have a very long, 3 car hauler parked in our driveway. The top end (which is meant to extend over the bed of a pick-up truck) is about 6 feet high. River immediately discovered it was perfect for keeping an eye on the neighborhood. Jack wasn't near as enthused until River pointed out that he could shop for bunnies in the next field over without even getting in trouble.

Oh, well, in that case.

Have to keep the nose wet so it can catch all the good scents.

He stands for bunnies, belly rubs, and the beagle way. (River will vote for him for sure.)

Jack: I can totally make it down from here.
Blue: You totally can't, sunshine; take the ramp.
