GAH. Okay, some of that could change, obviously, and I don't usually consider 30% much of a chance, but there's an excellent possibility that the soil won't be dried out enough to work in again until... at least a week from tomorrow. And, seriously, the tomatoes are not going to take that well. Or at all. Fact is, they need to be in the ground yesterday. So it's looking like planting them tomorrow come Hell or high water. Er, Hell anyway, as high water would actually be a problem.
Fortunately I was planning on staking/supporting them right away anyhow, considering that they otherwise wouldn't be too happy about the winds we're likely to get on Tuesday. I also really need to plant out the corn, the various melons/pumpkins, cucumbers, impatiens, beets, leeks, and onions.
For now, I'm thinking the seeds I planted Thursday came through the storms on Friday, but nothing will be confirmed until there's actual germination. Now I'm just hoping the seed potatoes aren't out there rotting in ground from too much moisture!
