On the other hand, the chill is just perfect for these little guys.

Those are pea shoots. What's really remarkable is that I took this picture just a short while ago in my own garden. Let's hear it for the peas!! (No, nothing else is growing and the potato trenches are currently water troughs, but-! Peas!)

The garden is still eating footwear however. And even Jacks.

Then there's the pile of horse manure. Yes, those are healthy tomato plants that are outside. They are the ones I tossed, naturally, and at this rate they're gonna end up planted. They obviously can't be planted until things dry out, though, so no sense in moving them considering they seem comfortable where they are.

In the greenhouse there are some issues to be addressed. The basil is showing some yellowing of the leaves. My first instinct is to say that they need repotted and fertilized, but I'll do a bit of research this evening.

I took this picture because of the yellow spots on the leaves, but after seeing it on the computer screen I realized it was the Moon & Stars watermelon - which is supposed to have speckled leaves. One problem solved! Then I saw the insect damage on the pumpkin leaves behind it. Piffle.

The homeless plants arrived! These are the non-tomatoes, namely a few melons (complete with budding flowers), a couple of sunflowers, and a Red Rubin basil.

These were the tomatoes after an emergency trim (I had the clippers out before D had them all inside - picture taking was gonna have to wait).

Some of what I took off - yes, those are tomatoes, but they're not old enough to be doing that sort of thing yet! Certainly not large enough.

How to know your plant is root bound: when it gives up on trying to escape out the bottom and starts trying to escape out of the top.

After an emergency repotting. I'll give them a couple of days before I fertilize as there is already some fertilizer in the soil, but hopefully that and removing the flowers/fruit will deal with the yellowing.

On the other side of the isle, the bonsai Sweet Million that's just hanging out.

Nearby, the onion transplants continue to defy expectations.

Some of the rest of the greenhouse residents.

At the moment, tomorrow is looking like a high near 70°F, then 77°F on Thursday. YAY.
