The Tomato Report

The Sweet Million cherry tomato plant (in the container by the greenhouse) has been... busy.

Regardless of what the rest of the tomato plants do, I'll definitely have cherry tomatoes!

The tomato patch in the garden proper - an assortment of sizes.

We have the flooding survivors, which are looking pretty good for the most part, if a bit leggy from what they lost.

There are the ones that arrived needing a home and are also looking pretty good.

Then there are the purchased plants, of which some are doing fine and (finally) starting to grow, but others...

Not so much.

This is called 'nibbled on'. Just a few random plants, so no major losses.

This year's labeling system. Zip tied to the post keeps them from getting lost, broken, or grown over. The pink below the zip tie designates that plant as a determinate tomato (semi-determinate in this case), which reminds me to NOT prune it!
